Meeting Minutes

March 17, 2007 Executive Committee Meeting

PRESENT: Dr. Carl Kalbhen, Dr. John Hibbeln, Dr. Jay Korach, Dr. Ellen Mendelson, Dr. Aruna Vade, Dr. Kate Feinstein, Dr. Ruth Ramsey, Dr. Gary Dillehay , Dr. Leonard Berlin, Dr. Richard Mintzer, Dr. Kathleen Ward, Dr. William Small.

The meeting was called to order at the Feinberg Auditorium at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Campus.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from the February 2007 meeting were approved.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: An abbreviated meeting was held due to the joint meeting with the Illinois Radiological Society during the Annual Illinois State Radiological Society Conference. The topic this year is Emergency Imaging.

SECRETARY/TREASURER’S REPORT: Dr. Hibbeln has reported that all the payments for the dinners for this year have been received from all the residency programs and none are outstanding. Additional dues from the ACR have been received. Dr. Kalbhen questioned the presence of service charge from Chase. He stated that he switched to the current provider, Chase, as they offered no fees.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE REPORT: Speakers names for the upcoming year were solicited.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT: The committee noted a need to look for new trustees and a program director for the coming year and solicited nominations. A new slate is expected to be offered at the March meeting.

ILLINOIS RADIOGICAL SOCIETY REPORT: Planning for the upcoming National ACR meeting was discussed during the IRS meeting.

OLD BUSINESS: No further information is available concerning the recent lawsuit by the State Attorney General Lisa Madigan involving free-standing imaging centers.

Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
