Meeting MinutesMarch 15, 2001 Executive Committee MeetingPresent: Dillehay, Grant, Kalbhen, Lasky, Melian, Mintzer, Pritchard, Racenstein, Smoron, Vade, Vyborny, Ward The meeting was called to order at 4:15 p.m. in the Council Room of the Standard Club. Secretary/Treasurer ReportThe minutes of the February 15, 2001 meeting were approved as submitted. The financial reports of February 1-February 28, 2001 were reviewed. Income and expense items were as expected. Program Committee ReportThe Program Committee met to plan next session's program. A full report will be given at the April meeting. Vendor Support Ad Hoc CommitteeNo vendor support has been found for the CRS meetings. ACR will be contacted for its list of vendors. Nominating Committee ReportDr. Racenstein will step down from being the Alternate Councilor to CMS. Anyone interested in this position should contact Dr. Ward. Applicants must be members of The Chicago Medical Society. Golf OutingThis year's golf outing is scheduled for June 28th at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. A registration form for the same is enclosed. Illinois Radiological Society ReportThere will be a combined IRS and CRS meeting next month starting at 12 noon. Dr. Cavallino announced the slate for the IRS elections: Dr. Richard Mintzer (Secretary, Assistant Treasurer and Alternate Councilor), Dr. Carl Vyborny (Councilor). Fellowship Committee ReportApplications for ACR fellowship will be accepted until March 31, 2001 for consideration at the April meeting. Resident Section ReportDr. Pritchard reported that Dr. Ellen Yetter will speak on "Common Board Interventional Cases" this afternoon. ACRACR is actively looking for people to run for various offices: president, vice president, council vice president, council steering committee and nominating committee. ACR is currently updating criterion for screening mammograms and will be publishing a new syllabus on mammography. Old BusinessThe Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Dr. William Schey
at the April meeting. Dr. Steve Pinsky will introduce the honoree. New BusinessDr. Ward thanked Bob Golitko (Golitko Lithography) for his many years
of service to the society. Upon his retirement, the Illinois Radiological
Society will handle the membership meetings. Having no further business, the Executive Committee adjourned at 5:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Aruna Vade, M.D., FACR Dinner was served to 79 people. While dessert was being served, Dr. Ward
conducted a brief business meeting. She then introduced Dr. Gary Dillehay,
who introduced Dr. Edward Coleman, who gave the lecture "PET Scanning
